You might try reading more about cultures where men and women are equal. Sex is pretty open and non-monogamous. People love everyone. It's hard to act that way growing up a woman anywhere else; women have been property for so long it's impossible to grow up not feeling the world is against you.
Someday this will all change and the impossible task of wanting love from one person will be forgotten. Maybe it's time to revisit Irigaray. Monogamy is not the answer. :)
